Feeding Equipment

1.Rotary Air Lock Valve

Rotary Air Lock Valve

Rotary Airlock Valves are a type of rotary feeder and are often referred to simply as a Rotary Airlock or Rotary Valve. They provide feeding and metering functionality of a standard rotary feeder but their primary duty is to maintain pressure and provide an optimal airlock seal between different product conveying transitions, such as gravity to pneumatic conveying lines.

The design includes an impeller which is mounted directly onto the gearbox shaft and an end plate mounted bearing with lip seals on the non-driven side. The inlet ports have “V’s” cast into the side wall to create a scissor cutting action between impeller blade and casing. This ensures smooth rotation without the “chopping effect” experienced with other valves. The result is increased bearing and impeller tip life.

Rotary airlock feeders have wide application in industry wherever dry free-flowing powders, granules, crystals, or pellets are used. Typical materials include: cement, ore, sugar, minerals, grains, plastics, dust, fly ash, flour, gypsum, lime, coffee, cereals, pharmaceuticals, etc

2.Table Feeder

Table Feeder

Rotary Table Feeders are used in industries, which require the moving or feeding of powder or granular substances. Table feeders are particularly helpful in moving sticky or hard to feed materials. They are also very useful in converting an intermittent batch process into a continuous material feeding process.

VIRA Engineering’s Rotary Table Feeder will consist of a power driven circulated plate rotating directly below a hopper / bunker.  A feed collar located immediately above rotating table used in conjunction with an adjustable plough, determines the volume of material discharged.

The lower edge of the feed collar will be parallel to the table with a predetermined gap from table top.  This arrangement permits equal quality of material to flow under the collar and spread over the table as it resolves.  The material is then ploughed off into the discharge chute. The plough inside the feed collar.

3.Vibro Feeder

Vibro Feeder

Heavy duty vibratory feeder / vibro feeder have welded construction, which transmits vibrations without fatigue. They are built for continuous operation. Each vibro feeder utilizes the forces set up by two synchronized, counter-rotating, heavy-duty, unbalanced Vibratory Motors, which are firmly fixed to the Feeder trough, in a specific angle to the feeding level. Feeders with unbalanced drives, vibrate freely on a support spring which is insulated against vibration transmission to base frame. This result in a straight line, push-pull, linear, oscillating motion.

The resultant force output, amplitude final product conveying speed is readily adjustable on all Industrial Feeders. Percentage settings are marked on the shaft of each motor. Loosening one bolt on the outer eccentric weight enables the eccentricity to be adjusted to the desired percentage of maximum force available.

Unbalanced Motor drives are economical conveying means for all bulk materials. They are used where products are to be fed either continuously or in batches, as, for instance.

Advantages

  • Discharging bulk materials from bins.
  • Feeding crushers, mixers, furnaces and scales.
  • Feeding conveyor-belts, bucket-elevators and vibratory screens, Loading and sorting plants.
